My 2d macau itinerary 🇲🇴

I flew directly to Macau recently (which isn’t the conventional method since most ppl take a ferry from Hongkong) and wanted to share my thoughts / experience!

✨Flight Timings ✨

Apart from flight fare, this will probably be the key deciding factor as to whether you should fly direct to Macau or not. Scoot & Air Macau are the only airlines that fly direct from SG to Macau so the flight timings aren’t ideal. You’ll probably land at 8pm with almost the entire day gone, and depart at 12pm which leaves you with barely enough time to have breakfast. My flight was delayed so i only landed at 10.50pm ☠️

It’ll definitely be more worth it to fly direct if you manage to catch Air Macau’s 1 for 1 promotion. If not, there isn’t too big of a difference for non-promotional flight fares so I’d prefer the fly to Hongkong + ferry to Macau route instead since it’s alot more flexible!

On to my itinerary - will be highlighting a few places that I really enjoyed / are worth going back again!

⭐️ The Parisian, The Venetian & The Londoner ⭐️

I stayed at The Parisian so I managed to do some hotel hopping since they were all connected. Really loved how pretty the interiors of these hotels looked!

The casino was a highlight for me as it was my first time visiting one! (Cruise casinos don’t count) We spent both nights at the casino because it was really fun to observe others play (🤣). For reference, the min. bet for Parisian / Venetian starts from 300 HKD while the min. bet for Londoner starts from 500 HKD.

⭐️ Lord Stow’s Bakery ⭐️

We came here TWICE and both times, we got a box of 6 egg tarts - I’m not a fan of SG’s Portuguese egg tarts but Lord Stow’s TASTED SO GOOD even when it turned cold after we brought it back to our hotel! Hands down the best egg tarts I’ve had, EVER.

⭐️ Travessa da Paixao ⭐️

This was near the Ruins of St Paul (which unfortunately was undergoing construction) - a very pretty walkway, great for taking photos!

⭐️ La Famiglia ⭐️

Had to have Portuguese cuisine in Macau and gave this 4.2 stars restaurant a try which turned out pretty good!

Caldo Verde - a green vegetable soup which tasted really unique and comforting 💯

Sautéed Clams - fresh & yummy 💯

Bacalhau a Lagareiro - this was supposedly their signature codfish dish but it tasted very different from how I expected it to taste 🥲 this was our least favourite

Serradura - a dessert made with whipped cream, condensed milk & crushed biscuits. SO DAMN GOOD 💯💯💯

It was a really short trip but am glad I finally got to check Macau off my list hehe.
