JEJU's Black Pork Street: Is it a tourist trap?? 🇰🇷

One of the specialities in Korea's Jeju island is black pork, which is from a local breed of 🐖 found only here ! We were really excited to try some after reading great things online like how it's supposedly very tender and marbled, the 'wagyu of pork', etc.

What better place to find black pork than Jeju's very own 'black pork street' ? 😂 We decided to try Tabbupyeong Bonjeom after we looked at the reviews and we made the right choice! For just S$22 per person, we were served a huge portion of meat and side dishes which all tasted very high quality. I've never seen pork with this much marbling before and we loved the service from the staff as well.

However, some people say that this street is a tourist trap as the locals tend to get the same tasty pork from elsewhere in Jeju and at cheaper prices 😳. While it's true that there are probably cheaper and better altenative restaurants in Jeju, we think we still had an excellent meal for a very decent price relative to what we could get here in Singapore. We would love to come back to this restaurant !!
