Queued 3hrs for this 128yr old Udon place?!

We were NOT expecting such a long queue when we headed down to try Godaime Hanayama Udon Ginza, a zaru udon restuarant with a very long heritage in Ginza, Tokyo. The queue took a long time to clear as the restuarant had limited seats, which is quite common among family restaurants in Japan.

They are known for their thick, flat udon noodles, which you dip into their soy sauce and sesame sauce, and it tasted really refreshing yet savoury!

All in all, it was not really worth queuing so long but it's definitely worth a try if you can get in early as their food is relatively affordable and so unique!!
