Iโve always wanted to try tufting ever since I saw it trending but always found it too expensive to do so in Singapore. When I saw other creatorsโ posts on how affordable it is to tuft in JB, I knew I had to add it to my JB itinerary while I was there! ๐งถ
After researching on lemon8 for a bit, I found Tufting Nuts to be the most affordable in the market. At only RM198 per couple, this means that we only pay about S$30 each to get a 30x30cm rug or bag! We dmed their IG account (@tufting_nuts) and made a reservation and paid in full prior to the session. ๐ต
โ๐ป One thing to note is that each couple will be sharing a frame and tuft gun throughout the session but that wasnโt a problem for us cos it allowed us to take turns and visualise our next steps. ๐๐ป
They recommended us to choose something with simpler lines/cartoon/illustration version so itโs easier to outline and trace on the frame. We then projected the image through our phone and traced it out. โ๐ป
๐๐ป What I enjoyed about the tufting session:
โ Easy to pick up and very fuss free! I thought itโd be way harder but itโs actually pretty chill once you get the hang of it ๐คช
โ The staff there were all very friendly and patient! They were kind enough to help with some of the more intricate details of our tuft. ๐
โ Though it was supposed to be a 2h session, we took longer than that and they werenโt strict with the timing. ๐ซฃ
We then have to wait for about 1 month before going back to collect our completed product. You can also choose to get it delivered to you at an additional cost of about ~S$20 which we felt werenโt very worth it. ๐
