you MUST add this to your taipei itinerary 🐂⛰️

First time hiking Yangmingshan? Well, I’ve got some tips for you so you don’t make the same mistakes as we did when we hiked up just a few days back! 🤡

👀 Tips/things to look out for:

👉🏻 If you don’t want to hike 5km up like we did (unwillingly), make sure that you set your destination as Qingtiangang Grassland so you can take the bus straight up! We made the mistake of setting our destination at Yangmingshan and so we had to hike for 1.5h in the forest to the start of the Qingtiangang trail. 🥴

👉🏻 Wear comfy sports clothes and shoes if you plan to hike to Qingtiangang! Even though the weather was pretty cooling, I still sweated a lot cos the hike wasn’t the easiest and there were quite a number of steps to climb… 💀 But if you’re just intending to take photos at Qingtiangang or walk along the trail, it’s pretty chill so you can wear nicer outfits for the pics! 📸

👉🏻 If you’re taking public transport like us, do check the last bus timing in case you miss it! The bus intervals are like 1h apart so it’s better to schedule your time spent wisely. ⏱️

👉🏻 You can head to one of the cafes nearby such as David & Alpaca to eat alongside alpacas which is so cute? 🦙 Or if you like to see views of Taipei, you can head to Wonder.land which was what we did and we even caught the sunset there! 🌅
