JB thrift review: thrifted a vest for RM5 only? 😱

I’ve always seen JB thrift shop recommendations and how affordable they are, so when I was in JB on a sunday, I decided to give 3 of the thrift stores a visit to see what I can find! 🤑

1. Rezeki Bundle 👍🏻

We first started with this huge thrift store which is in an open-air space. There were racks and racks of clothes mainly selling sweaters, vests, jackets, hoodies and bottoms. 🦺👖 Most of the pieces were priced at RM5 which was quite a steal! I managed to snag a vest just for RM5 and that’s less than S$2? 😱 One downside is that you have to really dig through the rows of clothes and some of the items may have some stains on them. 😟

2. Rebirth Inc.

This was located near City Square Mall (approx 10 mins walk), along the cafe street that true OGs use to frequent before other cafes became a thing in JB. It’s a two storey shophouse, where the first level is air-conditioned but the second level is open air. I was pretty disappointed with the selection here as they sell more guys’ clothing and they range from RM25-50. Didn’t get anything from here in the end 😐

3. Kedai Dobi Shanghai 👍🏻

Located right beside Rebirth Inc., this was definitely more my vibe! I love the retro, vintage look of the shop and every corner is so aesthetic. They sell clothes ranging from crop tops to midi skirts to cardigans and everything was so cute! The only thing is that the pieces are a little more on the pricier side ranging from RM40-60. My friend tried on 5 pieces of clothing and eventually ended up buying 2! 😍
