It was our first night in Seoul and we already spent $100+ on a kbbq meal?! 😱 As a huge fan of kbbq, I told myself that I had to have at least 3 kbbq meals when I was there in Korea. (Yes, we did indeed have kbbq for 6 out of the 8 nights we were there 🫢)
💭 Tbh, I expected there to have more kbbq buffets but we were actually hunting for them and couldn’t find a single one in Hongdae. The expected damage was also around >S$20 per pax.
📍 We chanced upon Wangbijib Myeongdong, or Imperial Princess’ House, when we were walking around the area hunting for dinner. Apparently, there are 3 outlets in Myeongdong alone and the one we went was located on the second storey of a building.
For 140g of korean beef sirloin, it costed us ~S$45 which I thought was a lil pricey for such a small amount of meat. However, we could tell that the price was worth the value when the meat came, because just look at that marbling! 😍
We also got the 230g grilled pork galbi which was around ~S$22. This was actually pretty worth it since the pork was well flavoured and was pretty huge too. 😋
What I like about Wangbijib:
✅ They grill the meat for you and the food cooks relatively fast, we finished our meal within 20 mins!
✅ Premium meat at a not-so-affordable price BUT WORTH EVERY CENT 🤑
✅ Friendly and efficient staff, able to understand English too
✅ Good exhaust system so you won’t end up smelling like barbecue after the meal 🤡
