I have struggled with my relationship with food for years. Although it hasn’t been healed completely, it has gotten significantly better. Here are some of the things I’ve done to help get past the toxic relationship I’ve had with eating and food.

1. Realize food is fuel. We need food to live and especially need it to fuel workouts and if you are a very active person.

2. Understanding how fat gain and loss works. It’s a very complex process and it’s not as simple as eating a pizza and getting fat. When you really start researching how it works it can give you a peace of mind when you know that just by going off your diet you aren’t ruining your process.

3. Eat the foods you love - in moderation. You should eat and enjoy the foods that you love. For one it will not ruin your progress and second I hate to break it to you but you will never be 100 percent satisfied with your physique. So why spend your entire life avoiding the foods that make you happy?
