Miami There can be situations and times where you might feel you need to calm yourself down right away! It doesn’t have to take a long time and a lot of effort to calming your Nervous System. Here are my 3 favorite ways to help calm the nervous system instantly!

1. 1:2 ratio of inhale to exhale. This one is powerful and can be done with ease. Simply breathe in for the count of 1…2 and exhale for count of 4…3…2…1. Repeat this at least for 10 rounds but longer if needed. Let your body enjoy the sensations of calmness!

2. Chanting OM! Aum or Om is very powerful in the sense that it is the vibration of the universe. Not only will you feel a deep connection with higher realms and dimensions but you will also feel an extreme sense of softness & peace. Chant OM at least 3 times, extending out the Aummmmmmmm as long as you can. 🕉️

3. Gargle water! This one is not as easy as simply changing your breath like the first technique since it does require water, but it is still very beneficial and if you have access to water in the moment that definitely try it out! The effects to this are very similar to chanting OM. You will stimulate your Vagus Nerve which is a very powerful nerve in activating our Parasympathetic Nervous System.
