The Crown Chakra is our 7th most highest Chakra associated with the color Violet. The element associated with the energy is thought 💭 Below are 4 basic things you should know about your Crown Chakra. 👑

The Sanskrit name is Sahasrara which translates in English to Thousandfold. This refers to the thousandfold lotus. These petals actually turn downward like a sunflower. Symbolizing the nectar from the crown dripping down through all of the chakras. This allows us to be connected and rooted all the way down the chakras. We need to have a connection in both ends for balance. As above, so below!

The purpose of this chakra is to understand, connect to a higher power & transcend. When you feel these ideas, you will feel a deep state of connection, trust & faith. It is developing that trust in a force greater than you to ensure you are divinely guided.

The Crown Chakra is actually located in the Cerebral Cortex. However, many pictures, videos & meditations may show it being a couple of inches above the top of the head. When I meditate, I do visualize it being above me because it allows me to feel a deeper connection that way.

You may be deficient in the Crown Chakra and that can be because of excess in the lower Chakras meaning an attachment to the physical world, greed, fear or worry. Focusing on this Chakra during meditation will sure help to open up and find balance!
