My 🍒 piercings, or… why i took them out

I got them in late 2020 just on a whim (bc im quite impulsive). I‘ll admit, i loved them sm at first. I still like them now but here’s why i took them out:

1. They take foreverrr to heal

-its not like with regular piercings where they heal

fairly quickly they can take 6-12 months

2. They are so much upkeep

-obv they bleed a lil bit but i didnt think about how much extra cleaning went into them. Not that its a problem but if you do decide to get them, be ready for that

3. Can get superrrr painful

-So this one is kinda obvious. Ofc it hurt so fkin much to get them pierced but when im in the shower and it randomly gets pulled that hurts like a mf. Also random boob pain. Like id have to step aside for a few mins to massage it out. Talk abt awkward lol

4. I plan to breastfeed

-I dont want to have to worry about them being an issue & interfering w my childs milk. I also feel as if the metal bars probably cant be too good for them anyway but 🤷🏼‍♀️ my bf & I have talked abt it too & while we both love the piercings, we mutually agree that in the long run, taking them out seems to be the way to go

When my dad told me that he had nipple piercings (bc im open w all my immediate family abt all my piercings) he didn’t tell me abt how painful they can be 😭 Don’t get me wrong, i love this piercing; but if you consider getting them think long and hard abt it
