When I was first diagnosed with PTSD, I didn’t know what that meant for my future but I knew it was the only way I could explain what was presently happening to me. The nightmare I was in might have been over but the mental prison I was in and still deal with to this day - was just beginning. The road to healing seemed invisible and I was looking for multiple ways to alleviate my anxiety that came on very strong with my PTSD.

A friend had previously told me about β€œtapping” when I was looking for ways to help my then (abusive) partner with his PTSD - he was a veteran. It’s ironic that what I sought out to help him with his struggles that he refused to do, is the self healing I do for myself now.

What's tapping, you ask? It's a gentle technique where you tap on specific acupressure points to ease anxiety and restore balance. πŸ€²πŸ’«

At first I was a skeptic, it’s hard for me to accept these types of solutions because my brain seems to go into overdrive when I try to zen out. This practice isn't just about the physical act of tapping; it's a powerful way to connect mind and body, releasing the emotional weight that anxiety carries. πŸŒͺ️✨

Tapping has become my anchor during times of stress. Each tap serves as a reminder that I have control over my emotions, grounding me in the present moment. It's not about erasing the past but reclaiming my power over it.
