my ozempic journey

this is my first week of taking ozempic and documenting my progress! i am going to take the medication on tuesdays each week.

my current weight is 205 lbs, and my BMI is 36 because i am 5’1.

i put off taking the medicine for several weeks now, because to be quite honest, i am terrified of the side effects. i have extreme emetophobia, so the idea of taking a medication that may make me sick to my stomach is frightening, but i decided it’s finally time to start working towards a body i feel comfortable in.

i am going to focus on drinking lots of water, and making sure i get plenty of protein to try to avoid the nausea that the medication may cause. i am starting on the smallest dose, 0.25 mg.

the process of actually taking the shot was not terrible at all, coming from someone who is also terrified of needles. you can see the needle, so if that is a problem for you, you could definitely have someone else administer it for you. you just insert the needle and then push the button, and it administers the medication. i experienced absolutely no pain with this whatsoever, but it could be different when i move up doses.

anyways, i’ll keep you updated! next week i’ll state if i had any side effects.
