Binnacle Books is such a gem of an independent bookstore in upstate New York, specifically in Beacon. Beacon is a great day trip to take via the train during all seasons but especially fall!

✨ Has a very vintage/cabin-like vibe to it with squeaky floors and wood interior.

📖 Specializes in used and new literature, poetry, literary nonfiction, political history, art, drama, philosophy, graphic novels, and children's books.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 The bookstore is a collaborative endeavor by four partners, who have collectively been writers, editors, musicians, producers, organizers, teachers, filmmakers, and booksellers.

✍🏼 You can sell or donate books, but only during the week. Call ahead or email before bringing books and if you have 10 or less, be sure to mention it!

💻 They do have an online store listing out some of their favorites. You can search by book, author or ISBN.
