Piazza del Duomo

The Duomo is free to enter. No reservations needed. While I didn’t get to go in, it’s worth admiring from the outside. It’s one of the most visited places in Europe, let alone Italy. It’s very central to the food and leather markets.

My favorite counter-serve sandwich place with tons of meat and veggie options. There’s a full vegetarian menu too! The prices range from €3-$7, with a separate menu for students.

Stop at the beloved vintage photo booths seen around Florence for a fun keepsake to take home with you.

Roam the city and check out the leather and food markets along with II Papiro Stationary

Piazzale Michelangelo

This is a famous watching spot overlooking the city of Florence. There are steps to sit on, but they fill up quick so you have to go early. Otherwise, plenty of standing and seats do open up later on. I recommend bringing drinks or pizza/snacks!
