This trip was a trip taken spontaneously right before the borders were closed (like literally right before — two days after we flew back, all international flights were closed). So, here’s what we did!
1. Food Trucks Night Market
Langkawi is an island that is part of Malaysia, so a lot of its food originates from Malaysia, hence you can expect the same amount of good food here! The food trucks sold a variety of food from Penang char kuay teow to sinful ramly burgers and we couldn’t stop eating as we moved from our truck to the next
2. Parasailing
Water sports are a big thing here in Langkawi so we decided to try our hands at it (after bargaining until we got a satisfactory price lol). The activity we decided to do was parasailing because it looked like the most fun and interesting — and it did not disappoint. Just look at the view!
3. GoKarting
We went to Morac Adventure Park for a day of karting and it was so fun! The route here is much larger and the turns are a little more challenging so it’s super satisfying when you complete the rounds. It’s also significantly cheaper than the ones in mainland Msia!
4. Chilling
Because we were here for a short while (4 days only), we decided to just explore one beach thoroughly and it was pantai cenang! The sand here was super soft and because it was so wide, it didn’t feel that crowded. We had space to just run around and even play ultimate frisbee.
5. Feasting
None of the food here stood out because everything was really good. Any restaurant along the beach you’re at would most definitely make your money’s worth. You just need to know the cuisine in mind!
6. Walking
The weather here is not as hot as Singapore and many nice boba stalls line the streets so it’s really nice just to take a stroll down the street with bubble tea in your hands.
7. Riding e-bicycles
You can book the kampung sunset tour on Klook before coming to get the full experience but this e-bike tour thing was something we decided to do spontaneously when we were sitting near the rental store. The person then decided to just give us a short version of the tour because it was already 3pm. The ride itself was super thrilling!
