(penang cafe diaries pt.1)

this is one of the more famous cafes in penang, with it’s industrial high ceilings & minimalistic interior.

when you first enter, it felt like going through a huge glass door into a secret garden, with the stone interior and greenery.

the price of the food here was not the cheapest as compared to other cafes in penang, (slightly cheaper than sg cafe price) but i feel like you really get the quality that you’re paying for. cant really rate the food objectively because we came here right after our flight and we were FAMISHED so any food in our tummy was good food to us

we ordered 1 pasta and 1 risotto, and it was enough to feed 3 hungry people (the portion is just nice). the risotto was of the perfect hardness, not too gooey and not too hard. the flavour was also 🥹🥹

the coffee here is not the best, it’s passable! i ordered the mocha, which i felt was alot better than the lattes here.

I think it’s a good place to come chill and chitchat, but not during peak hours as it can get quite crowded at times. remember to take lots of pics! (even the toilet is quite pretty for mirror selfies)
