things i wished people told me this before i went to the club for the first time!!!

① grab a friend or two 👯‍♀️

for safety reason and for the fun!

not everyone at the club wants to mingle with strangers (really depends on which club you head to)

remember to set a meeting point at a certain time to ensure everyone's safe too!

② ootn + makeup look 👩🏻

don't know what to wear? 💃🏻

just go onto instagram and search the club location and see what everyone else is wearing! ✍🏻

eg. drip = dressed down, sneakers

avenue = classier, NO sneakers

makeup:

you're gonna be sweaty from all the dancing! either apply minimal make up or use waterproof products 🦆

③ pack the correct items in your bags 👛

here are the necessities:

- your ID 🪪 (you can use your singpass if you're a sgrean)

- your credit/debit cards 💳 (i'd rather keep them at home and use paywave because i don't have to be worried about losing my card(s))

- phone📱(well... duh)

- make up 💄 (the ones you ACTUALLY need) | lipstick, tissue are my main

- portable charger + wire (optional)

④ pre-game baby 🥂

grab some drinks before heading in! alcohol at clubs are pricey 💷

they do give complimentary drink (or two, depends on where you're headed) 🍻

but these are watered down so they're not as 'effective' hahaha

👁️👄👁️ if you read this, you did not | i'd sometimes sneak a little alcohol inside the club hehe

* remember to NOT drink on an empty stomach!!!

⑤ figure out THE signal ⚠️

there are gonna be people hitting you up (because YOU are a gorgeous girl)

figure out a signal if you REQUIRE HELP to get away from the person ⛔️

or... a signal to tell them 'hey i like this person, i don't need help' 😉

storytime: i had a situation where my guy friend attempted to block another guys attempt to dance with me... it was so awkward "is that your boyfriend" um... no. 😭😭😭
