CHRISTIANS AND HALLOWEEN?? 🎃

this is something i had been going back and forth on for YEARS… not just halloween, but most holidays in general too. ever since i can remember, halloween has been my absolute favorite holiday! i always got to run the streets with my friends getting free candy and dressing up as my favorite character at the time. now that i am older, i quite literally have over 1000 kids each halloween to hand out candy to… that is a lot of kids!! also potentially a great way to make the presence of Jesus known on a night most people might not think Him to be there!

I’ve never been a big fan of the scary side of halloween, but i’ve always loved dressing up and seeing how creative people get with their costumes!!

(also the free candy lol) i knew people growing up that didn’t participate in halloween, because they felt like it’s a day to celebrate the devil and expose you to demonic presence, and to that i say yeah that’s absolutely possible! but i would also say if you love and look to Christ that He protects you from such evils! (psalm 34:7) no judgement at all if you decide to not participate or if you do! i go back and forth every year.

there have been years i felt maybe i shouldn’t participate, but God opened my eyes to how great and opportunity this is to literally be the salt of the world!! the smallest light drives out the darkness, and the light of Christ is beyond bright!!
