MY 1st TIME TRAVELLING w/ FRIENDS & WHAT I LEARNT!

Ard 2 weeks ago I traveled to Krabi, Thailand with my close 2 uni friends!!! Eventho I’ve lived overseas for ard half of my life, travelling with friends and not family is a whole new ballgame 🤭🤭🤭

1. Independence 🤞🏼

Travelling with friends can also help you become more independent as you will need to navigate and make decisions without relying on your family members! There were decisions like going on a 1 hr tuktuk ride to a sunset cafe that’s halfway to Phuket and buying a check in baggage cuz of the shopping we’ve done that we simply wouldn’t have made if we were travelling w fam ❤️

2. Budgeting 💰

Travelling with friends can also help you learn how to budget your money and make financial decisions. You'll need to decide together how to split costs for accommodations, food, transportation, and activities!! After day 1, we realised we have spent like ALOT ALOT on food and shopping 🥲🥲 so we full on had to sit down and plan out our finances for the next few days which we were def unprepared for!! ☹️But great learning lesson..

3. Adventure and Exploration

Travelling with friends can often lead to more adventurous and spontaneous experiences as you may be more willing to try new things or take risks with your friends by your side!! I think it’s rly impt to understand how adventurous ur friends that ur travelling with are!! 👍 I was super excited to go on the Monkey Trail, but my 2 friends were like terrified of the monkeys so ABIT of a hiccup but proud of them for powering through it 🤩
