❤️ WHY I LOVE BEING AN ANALYST ❤️

✅ I GET PAID TO STUDY 📚

My role is essentially studying and learning all the time and I love it. I’m learning new things everyday from market to the structure of a deal. It’s not easy, it is a steep learning curve but it’s pretty enjoyable ✨

✅ LAID BACK SMART CASUAL DRESS CODE 👩🏻‍💻

I don’t need to wear a suit, the guys in my office WEAR polo tee and jeans. 👖

I don’t have to wear too formal for my daily work but probably more smart casual on days we are meeting external stakeholders ✨

😭 WHY IT MAKES ME CRY 😭

😔 HIGH PRESSURE AND NO GUIDANCE

When I first joined, I didn’t know how to ask for help. But with the team being so lean that nobody has time to guide you all the time. In this role, you gotta take initiative to learn and ask ✨ it’s a steep learning curve but it will be worth it.

😔 LONG WORKING HOURS INCLUDING WEEKENDS.

To be honest, it’s really about the grind >< i don’t work every weekend but if there is an impending deadline I’m expected to. But it just depends where you want to go, most people grind the first few years just to gain the experience before switching.
