Lola’s cafe ; Tried all the viral recommendation 👀

Hello lemons 🍋,

I recently went Lola's for the first time & I really wanted to see what’s the hype about this place because I think this is easily one of SG’s most viral cafe 👀✨.

Food that I had that online highly recommend :

• Nacho Cheese Tater tots $12

YUMS, freshly fried tater tots with cheese couldn’t go wrong and the serving size was huge , we ended up only eating half the bowl.

• Duck leg confit $20

Love the truffle mash but for ducks confit , I’ve had better in another cafe ~ would also prefer more sauce because the mash were a little dry at some point.

• Honey peprika crispy wings $14

I think the star of the night was the wings & I would come back to Lola’s JUST for the wings. The serving size ? Big for $14 & the wings were literally perfect, I ate like 4-5 wings alone myself , addicted. Freshly fried hot out of the oil but not oily , yums ! 😋

• Grilled Chicken & mushroom onzo $18

One word , gelat. grilled chicken was good but the mushroom onzo was damn one-tone. Couldn’t finish it because of how bland and boring it got. Also this wasn’t the “ viral “ recommendation , we wanted battered fish and chips as reccomended online but it was taken out of menu so we had to pick something else.

• Lola’s chocolate cake $7.50

If you are a fan of Lola’s chocolate cake , please give four leaf’s coco exotic a try! I think it’s a pretty good cake that’s not overly sweet or bitter with moist cake but no chocolate cake tops coco exotic for me 🫶🏻😮‍💨

Overall I’ll give Lola’s a 4/5 purely for the wings and cake & I think pretty affordable cafe price as well for this standard of food served. Hoping to try other better mains if I was to ever come back to lola’s, any recommendations? Sides & desserts were done perfect 😋✨
