Banana cake better than Hiap Joo ✨🤞🏻

Have you ever went to Mount Austin & see everyone carrying around a little red box of goodies ?! Well Tucked in the corner of Mount Austin JB , there is a store names [ Hoki Cake Bakery ] , with its signature red building , it’s hard to miss ! + the aroma lurking around the store , you can smell it a mile away 😮‍💨.

My sister often buy their sponge cake for my mom whenever she’s at the area so we have definitely tried a bunch of flavours 😆🤞🏻

🛒Product Item:

[ Banana Cake 16RM ] - 5 thick slices of banana cake for $5SGD. I personally feel it’s less aromatic than the popular Hiap Joo but the banana taste is definitely there & perhaps even more than Hiap Joo !! But I do think Hiap Joo is cheaper 🤔

[ Sponge Cake 18-26RM ] - this was the Star item for me !!! Soft , fluffy & usually piping hot from their oven because they sell out every batch once it’s out 🤩. My personal favourite is Double cheese & Pandan!

Chocolate was damn good too, ooey gooey chocolate when it’s hot 😍😍. Original is their OG but I love cheese so I picked double cheese over their original ~ & Pandan is super fragrant ✨

[ Egg Tart 4RM ] - Being Famous for their Egg tarts , I bought some for my bf to try but he didn’t take any pictures 😭. His verdict was “ it’s a good egg tart, I can see why it’s famous BUT I like the pie crust Tart instead of puff pastry one so - points for that 😂”

Flakey outer shell with creamy egg custard in the middle 🤌🏻⭐️.

I definitely recommend a visit to try their bakes when you’re around Mount Austin 😍.
