NYC recommendation

If you live in the New York or New Jersey area or if you’re just visiting from out of state you must book this dinner cruise.

I recently got to experience the Skyline Dinner Cruise with Event Cruises over the Memorial Day weekend. It was an absolutely amazing experience! Perfect for a date night with your partner or with friends, Event Cruises offers an array of cruises. There are also cruises curated for special holidays, like July 4th, Mother’s Day, etc.

As soon as you get on the boat, you’re met with photo opportunities. All guests have access to the decks, so you can walk around at any point of the cruise. There’s the main deck as well as the top deck, which offer 360 views. For this reason, I suggest you get there a little earlier than 7pm. Guests can start boarding at around 6:30, so get there early to get some photos before the boat starts moving. From the top sky deck, you can get great shots with the Manhattan Bridge in the background.

For the dinner cruises, you get a three course meal and a complimentary glass of champagne (additional drinks are available at an extra cost). I selected the Beet & Burrata and the Roasted Half Hen for dinner, and the New York Cheesecake for dessert. All were absolutely delicious!

While you’re waiting for your meal, head out onto the decks as the boat takes off. Soon after you will get to sail right under the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge! Talk about a unique perspective! You’ll get to see the World Trade Center as well as some other iconic views of NYC. Eventually the boat turns back and heads towards the highlight of the night, the Statue of Liberty! You get such a great view from the boat, and the DJ (yes, there’s a live DJ on all cruises) always pauses to play Alicia Keys’ and Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind.” What a moment!

The overall experience was such a good time and I’m glad I got to experience it. If you’re looking for something different and fun to do, check out one of these NYC cruises!
