My Miles Hack for Earning on Non-Rewards Payment 💳

If you’re like most people, you might have skimmed through the terms and conditions of your credit card without realising that insurance payments usually fall under the MCC exclusion list 😅. This means you don’t earn rewards like miles or cashback on these transactions. But here’s the thing, CardUp has been my little hack around this! ✨

I’ve been using CardUp to pay for my insurance 💡, and by doing so, I can earn miles on payments that normally wouldn’t qualify, like renovation 🛠, income tax 🧾, car loans 🚗, and mortgages 🏠. For the full list, please refer to the CardUp website. It’s something not many people know because, let’s be honest, who reads through all the fine print? 🙈

Of course, there’s a small fee involved 💸. The standard fee is 2.6%, but here’s some good news! CardUp is running a promotion until January 31, 2025 🎉. I’ve been using their other payment promo code, GET225, to reduce the fee to 2.25% when paying for my insurance 🛡.
