I can’t even begin to describe what a beautiful experience we had at A Beautiful Day Café Tea Room, this is quite a hidden spot near PLQ. We recently went for a date night and were wow-ed by their Victorian-styled interiors, which immediately set a charming and romantic mood.

Let me just rave about their Chazuke—it was absolutely delish! We ordered two versions: the Beef Chazuke and the Unagi Chazuke, and both left us completely wowed. The Beef Chazuke featured crispy rice, kombu, and ebiko, but the real star was the Bak Kut Teh Collagen Broth. If you’re a fan of peppery soup, you’ll be in heaven—this broth was so savoury and rich that I couldn’t resist finishing every last drop!

The Unagi Chazuke was more subtle, paired with a Tie Guan Yin Collagen Broth. It’s perfect if you prefer something clean and lighter. The cool part? Your broth can be transformed into a cup of tea to enjoy alongside your Chazuke—such a unique touch!

We also tried their Hotate Ceviche, and it was wonderfully fresh and savoury, making for a perfect appetiser. Paired with a Strawberry Oolong tea, it was a refreshing and delicious combination. And because we couldn’t resist, we ended our meal with their Mentaiko Mac n Cheese. This version focuses more on the roasted mentaiko than the cheese, giving it a distinct and delicious flavour that we absolutely loved.

And here’s the best part—this café is incredibly pet-friendly! For all the pawrents out there, this is the perfect spot to bring your furry friends. Pets aren’t just restricted to sitting outside; they’re welcome inside the café, where they even have a menu with pet treats. It’s such an inclusive and cosy place for both you and your pets. 🐶
