How to successfully introduce your cats

Hello there 😺 I know introducing cats can be a daunting task. I have recently adopted a new cat named Mimi, and it took me over a month to finally make them able to tolerate each other at least.

To those thinking of adopting a second cat or are on your way to doing so, here are some tips for your success:

⌛️ Take it slow. It’s a slow process, and you’ll need to follow the steps one at a time. Otherwise, you might end up having to do it all over again.

🧸 Play with your cat. Make sure you give both of them enough play time so that they won’t pump up too much energy, and use that on fighting each other.

🐈 Don’t be afraid of hissing and fights. During the first month, Mimi hissed at Leo all the time. They also fought quite frequently. That’s their way of figuring out their hierarchy, and once it’s done, they are the cutest little duo ever.

⚠️Whenever you notice their fights get too serious, re-direct their attention with toys. Never try to separate them with your hands while they are in fights!
