yes, but by choosing to take the leap of faith & forgo the traditional step — dating stage, u save time, dating is not only time consuming but also mentally draining. it also bypasses the often ambiguous dating stage, thus u can start a rs w clear intention. last but not least, avoid superficial judgements, dating = emphasises on superficial qualities + initial impressions

🚨** disclaimer: b4 anyones starts bashing, this is purely my own pov & my own experience, maybe im js lucky to meet such a nice guy, who knows? 🤔

🚨relationships & dating is all abt trial & errors, no right no wrong, i alw believe tht the right one will come to u unexpectedly, if its the wrong one js breakup lor wht to do?

lets get into the topic real quick on why i chose to get into a rs straight & bypass the dating stage:

1️⃣ clarity & focus

- dating stage = udh to be committed to someone, some may be js dating FOR FUN to pass time/ casual dating, alw in the honeymoon phase, mostly ups & rarely downs

- by bypassing the often ambiguous dating stage, u cn start a rs w CLEAR INTENTIONS

- this approach ensures both u & ur partner is on the SAME PAGE regarding ur COMMITMENT, reducing the likelihoods of misunderstandings & mixed signals

2️⃣ saves my time + less emotional draining

- we all know how the dating stage is often a “grey area”, it is so mentally exhausting w all the emotional rollercoaster, it involves lots of misunderstandings, mismatched expectations & etc.

- in the dating stage, it also means that u may spend months or even YEARS dating various ppl, considering the amt of time spent in getting to know these ppl who may or may not be putting up w a pretentious front, u cld hv used this time to establish a committed rs & invest ur time to build a solid & lasting connection w someone who shares ur commitment to a srs rs (thats if u hv put tht out right frm the start)

- by committing early, u can concentrate on building a deeper emotional connection, fostering trust & intimacy w/o the distractions of casual dating

3️⃣ avoiding superficial judgements

- dating stage = emphasises superficial qualities (eg. appearance) & initial impression. it may also create a false compatibility, as we tend to focus too much on common interests & the good of someone, this can leads to overlooking potential red flags in other impt areas of compatibility

- i believe tht getting tgt wld mean tht yall wld spend a large amt of time tgt, thus, ur partner will slowly start to show their true cols, be it the good or bad. this wld also mean tht u wld hv look beyond the initial superficial judgements as u wld hv alrd assessed ur partner

- w/o the pressure to impress or conform to dating norms, both partners can be more authentic & genuine frm the start

4️⃣ mature approach that leads to higher satisfaction

- for individuals who are clear abt their readiness for a srs rs, skipping the dating stage can be a more mature & practical approach

- i personally believe tht early commitment to a rs allows both partners to grow tgt to be a btr person & a partner. eg. facing challenges & celebrated small successes tgt
