How To: Gastrobeats 2023 + Bonus Tips 🎠🍨

I visited 🎈Gastrobeats last weekend and here is why I will be returning!!! 😋

Located at the Bayfront Event Space, Gastrobeats is an annual affair all about 🇸🇬 local flavours by a curated list of food vendors with good 🎶 music and vibes all month long

On top of that, 🎟️ admissions are FREE this year! Definitely making it more accessible for impromptu trips down without having to to 🤰🏻stuff yourself in one visit hehe

What I tried:

💗 Basil Crispy Pork Rice with Egg $12

This is from 🥡Thai zone and I really enjoyed the dish! They are generous with the meat portion, and made the pork fresh and juicy. It’s not too spicy 🌶️ while still having a kick to it! Would repurchase! Recommend to also grab a pack of their complimentary fish oil sauce for extra fragrance 👨🏼‍🍳👌🏼

💗 No Time Anyhow $18.80

From the stall 🥡No Time Hot Pot, this is a concept sharing 🪣 bucket for people who loves hotpot! This set includes a mix of ingredients like pork belly, cheese tofu, fried chicken etc with the choice of 🌶️ mala or 🍅 tomato soup bases. I got the mala option and loved it a lot! Felt that it was a little pricey but worth it for the experience

+++ Bonus points for the most adorable mascot 😍

💗 Classic Mac and Cheese $10.90

I got this from 🥡Sohtt & Ccook, who mainly serves western dishes. I felt that the Mac and Cheese was 🙅🏻‍♀️ not worth it just because it was doused in mid cheese sauce. Couldn’t taste much and overall wouldn’t repurchase.

However they do also offer 🍡 mochi croffles 🧇which looks pretty yummy, looking forward to try it out the next time I’m there!

🤍 Overall thoughts:

I had a really hard time 🤔 deciding what to eat because the variety offered looks reeeallly good 😋, which warrants a revisit to go down the list hehe. The stalls were categorised by cuisines and genres as well which made 🗺️ navigation super easy and convinient!

🌟 Bonus tips:

1. Head down early ⏰

I arrived at 4.30pm just as Gastrobeats open. The sun ☀️ is still up, so it can be super warm 🥵 so do remember to bring some shades and dress light while you enjoy *** little to no waiting time and the freshest food 🫶🏼 + avoiding the crazy evening crowd

2. Get Ready your Foodpanda App 🐼

What i regret was not using my foodpanda app to make my orders 😔 You get 10% OFF when you select self-pickup on the app and it makes ordering so much more convenient! 🤍 I recommend to keep the app open as you navigate through the sections so that you can order without 🙅🏻‍♀️ going back and forth many many times.

3. Bring dry and wet wipes!

Not just for the tables and utensils but for yourself because you're going to be so sweaty and sticky 😰from exploring the festival! I recommend to also bring ❄️ cooling wipes for your body, I promise you will thank me later 😘
