Michelin Beef Noodles at Yongkang Street

One of the best beef noodles you can find in Taipei is Yongkang Beef Noodles at the Yongkang Street area. We went at around 5pm on a weekend and managed to get in after a short wait. Do note that you might have to wait longer if your group is larger.

What we tried:

🍖 Steamed pork ribs with rice

The dish consists of pork ribs mixed with rice and chilli. The pork ribs were tender and paired well together with the rice. I thought that the dish could do with less or away with the chilli as it overpowers the pork ribs. At the bottom, there are pieces of sweet potato that simply melts in your mouth!

🍜 Braised beef and tendon noodles

We ordered the spicy 🌶️ version of the noodles. The meat was soft and tendons were chewy. The broth was rich and tasted of herbs. Compared to my last visit a few years back, the soup seems spicier now. Do take note if your spice tolerance is not that high.

👍 Overall, the food was tasty despite the slightly higher prices - NTD 140 (SGD 6) for the steamed pork ribs and NTD 280 (SGD 13) for beef noodles. Must try if you are in Taipei or the Yongkang area!
