End stage renal failure

I have chronic kidney disease since my early twenties and my condition progressed to end stage when I was 28. When my renal physician broke the news to me, it felt as in my whole world collapsed. I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve broke down and cried at my physician’s clinic.

Living with chronic kidney disease for a decade now, it has always been in my mind to share and spread awareness on this ‘silent disease’.

If you don’t already know, kidney disease can happen at any age. They’re many reasons why a kidney stops working. For me, it was a case of autoimmune.

I’ll be going for a transplant by this year if everything goes well (praying so hard that everything goes well for me). It has been such a difficult and emotional roller coaster ride for my family and I ever since I was diagnosed but I’m so grateful I’ve such supportive family.

I hope this post will bring comfort and support to all the kidney patients out there. I know it’s scary to have kidney disease but have hope! Remember - tough times don’t last, tough people do! 🌈
