Unpopular Opinion: I LOVE wearing my head scarf

I’m Orthodox Christian.

I belong to an OCA church, (Orthodox Church of America). I’d say about 70%ish women wear head coverings in my church. So it’s completely normal to see a woman wearing a head covering if you attend an Orthodox Christian church. However, it’s not mandatory. I CHOOSE to wear one and here’s why:

•I find it helps me be less distracted with my hair and more focused on liturgy… I also would never want to distract someone else with my hair to take their eyes off liturgy.

•I personally think it’s more modest and honestly so beautiful when women cover their hair.

•There’s many scripture references that tell women to cover their heads, especially when worshiping and praying.

•It also makes getting ready for church so much easier since I just throw my hair in a low bun and it helps me avoid temptations of vanity since I’m not worried about how my hair looks.

What’s your opinion on women covering their heads at church?
