A much needed morning out with the family!

My husband is off today for Protestant Good Friday, however we don’t celebrate Good Friday & Pascha (Easter) in our Orthodox Christian faith until next weekend! So this coming Sunday is actually our Palm Sunday. But we are still taking advantage of his day off.

Tonight we have Holy Unction, you can only be an Orthodox Christian to attend and be in good standing with the church as your receive an anointing from such a special oil. This will be our first time attending Holy Unction tonight since we converted.

But on our adventure, we spotted alligators, turtles, and more! Plus my absolute favorite movie is The Notebook and the famous boat scene was filmed here. So I love this place a little more because of that.
