Natural Bug Repellent

Looking for a nontoxic bug repellent? Citronella geranium plants are known to repel mosquitoes and other annoying summertime pests. However, the secret sauce is in the plant’s oil. Without releasing the oils it’s just another plant.

To release the oils here are three options:

1. Rub the plant to release it’s oils before sitting in an area with bugs.

2. Break a leave and rub it into your skin.

3. Make your own DIY repellent:

🦟 Harvest the leaves

🦟 Dry the leaves

🦟 Warm infuse coconut oil with the leaves

🦟 Cool and pour into a spray bottle
