hello girlies!! previously when i did my post about disposable period underwear, i received some ideas to do a comparison between that and the reusable ones ☺️ so here's the breakdown between the 2 types of period underwear & what would be the best for you! 👇🏻

🩸 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿

i'm currently interchanging between 2 brands - rael & blood, and the difference is rael's underwear is made of cotton while that of blood is made of corn

✅ 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀:

• holds as much as 4 regular pads

• ensures a 12-hour comfort

• total 360° leak-proof protection (tested & proven)

❌ 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀

• it's definitely not seamless 🥲

• some might feel weird that you're wearing a "diaper"

• not as good to the environment because you're disposing waste again

✨ 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲: great for those with sensitive skin

🕐 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲: heavy flow on the first 2 days of period

🩸 𝗥𝗘𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿

i currently only own the one from @I'M IN & the quality is really good!! 👍🏻 it's only $25.90 so if you divide by the recommended number of washes (up to 15), it's very worth it!!!

✅ 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀:

• extensive coverage: super long & wide gusset that's extended all the way to the back

• high rise design to conceal bloating during period

• seamless - no need to worry about wearing form fitting clothes during period

• better for the environment because no wastage is involved, just water & soap and scrubbing

❌ 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀

• it's not ideal for girls with heavy flow on the first 2 days because the sides of the cheekie do not feel "secure" in a sense

• needa hand wash and separate with the other of the items

✨ 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲: depends on how your skin near the area reacts to it

🕐 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲: heavy flow on the first 2 days of period

my personal recommendation, after using both during my period cycle, i'd prefer to use the disposable one on the first 2 days!! i feel more secure wearing that for a start & then subsequently for the next few days, i'd wear the period underwear for a more fuss-free feeling ☺️
