your cafes checklist for the rest of april! ☕🤭

there has been so many cafes popping up in singapore and if you can't decide which ones should be included in your to-go list, we've already tried some of them so that it'll save you some hassle!! 😉 this list contains 4 cafes & we've ranked them according to our preference overall (starting from the best of course 🤪)

1️⃣ hellu coffee

• ☕ overall: ranked the best for us because 1) the aesthetics of the cafe is very clean 2) the food and drinks were really nice 3) location was accessible 😍

• 💯 rationale: -0.5 because the drinks were more expensive than the food 🌚 and another -0.5 because the space is really small so you'd have to wait for quite some time for seats 🫠

• 🍽️ what we ordered: maple bacon croffle ($7.90), spicy tuna croffle ($7.90), iced matcha creamu ($8.90) & iced white creamu ($8.10)

• 📍 location: 137 amoy street, 01-05, far east square, singapore 049965

• ⏰ operating hours: mon - thu 8am-5pm | fri 8am-4pm | sat 10am-4pm | closed on sundays

2️⃣ rough guys coffee

• ☕ overall: ranked second best for us because 1) the coffee was really good 2) the cakes we had were especially lovely 3) location was accessible 😍

• 💯 rationale: -0.5 because the space is quite small 🌚 and another -0.5 because the tables were not made for eating pastries 🥲

• 🍽️ what we ordered: banana bread ($6.30), lemon pound cake ($6.80), iced white ($7) & iced peach tea ($6)

• 📍 location: 214a south bridge rd, singapore 058763

• ⏰ operating hours: 10am-6pm daily

3️⃣ cloud

• ☕ overall: ranked third best for us because 1) the overhead fluffy white cloud is really cute but the industrial vibes were too dark for our liking 2) the coffee was okay!

• 💯 rationale: -0.5 because the space is really small 🌚 and another -1.0 because we didn't experience the best service with the queuing & arrangement of seats 🥲

• 🍽️ what we ordered: banana cake ($5), brownie w/ miso caramel ($6), iced white ($6.50) & hot white ($5.50)

• 📍 location: 1a duxton hill, 01-01, singapore 089587

• ⏰ operating hours: tue - sun 10am-6pm | closed on monday

4️⃣ fieldnotes

• ☕ overall: ranked fourth best for us because 1) the cafe is more dessert-centric 2) the ambience was really good!

• 💯 rationale: -0.5 because the space is really small 🌚 another -0.5 because the tables were really low for us to consume desserts & the last -0.5 because the drinks were not the best 🥲

• 🍽️ what we ordered: brown butter apple tart ($8), chocolate brownie salted caramel tart ($8.50), hot white ($6) & hot sweet potato latte ($7)

• 📍 location: 41 neil road, singapore 088824

• ⏰ operating hours: sun - thu 11:30am-9pm | fri - sat 11am-11pm
