what can my mini bags fit & why i love them? 👜

every girl needs a mini bag wherever she goes & so do i 💁🏻‍♀️ so over the past year, i have bought 3 types of mini bags at different price points & i'm here to share what works and what doesn't about them - so you don't have to 😉

👜 shein minimalist baguette bag

• no idea why different colours are priced differently though but it's from $5.75 onwards & max $9 🤪

• suitable for occasions like clubbing/drinking because it's small & just right under your armpit (so no one can attempt to steal or snatch)

👍🏻 pros;

• it's made of polyester material & it's slightly water resistant

• straps are not too thick or thin & it doesn't eat into your skin

• considered cheap for its quality & durability

👎🏻 cons;

• it's not big enough if you're going out for the entire day & it won't fit much

👜 gentlewoman small puffer bag

• there's this the current craze about gentlewoman & i chose to get the puffer bag instead of the micro canvas one because i found this more unique 😬

• got someone to help me ship in from thailand & paid about SGD$32

• suitable for daily commuting - visiting cafes, shopping, date

👍🏻 pros;

• super duper cute & it gives off an elegant look 😍

• able to fit a pocket umbrella as long with your going-out necessities + probably a small 330ml water bottle can fit in too

• has a structure so the sides doesn't collapse inwards

👎🏻 cons;

• only can use damp cloth to wipe dirty spots & unable to wash

• slightly poorer workmanship cuz i wiped off the dirty spots with hand sanitiser & the letters started coming off 🥹 (also maybe cuz i never follow instructions 🤦🏻‍♀️)

• button to close and open the bag might spoil over time so gotta take extra care

👜 beyond the vibes xs dumpling bag

• there was a period where singaporeans are crazy over dumpling bags & i was actually late to the party 😅

• comes in 10 colours & it's foldable

• adjustable crossbody straps & the nylon material makes it super water resistant (i spilled my water inside the bag but there was barely anything that was wet 💯)

• suitable for people values functionality in their mini bags

👍🏻 pros;

• it's super functional & stretchy - it can fit my 750ml lululemon water bottle + a small umbrella

• comes with a magnetic flap so opening & closing is made easier

• can be carried 2 ways - crossbody sling or handbag

👎🏻 cons;

• doesn't really have a structure since it's foldable so not recommended to place paper/documents

• unable to remove the crossbody straps

🤔 so...which one is my favourite?

honestly it's a very tough fight between the gentlewoman & BTV one but i guess i'll pick the gentlewoman one because the design is more unique & still not too bulky to bring around for daily commute 😘
