The subway is one of the most efficient and affordable ways to get around NYC! Don’t be afraid to use it - here are some tips:

🚇 Use GOOGLE MAPS to find the best route. The map is so detailed that you can see where the staircases are to the subway entrances if you zoom in enough. It will also tell you how many stops to ride and the name of the stop to get out at.

🚇 The SIGNS above ground and underground indicate the final destination of the train, so know if you are Brooklyn v. Manhattan bound or Uptown v. Downtown bound. You might have to enter from a specific staircase at some stations - pay attention!

🚇 A ride costs $2.90 including the transfers to other trains underground. Pay at the turnstile with your APPLE WALLET to save time. It’s so easy!

🚇 Be SAFE by staying away from the platform edge and looking up when walking. The performers are generally harmless, but avoid eye contact with those begging for money. Wash your hands after touching the poles.
