Iconic Canadian coffeehouse Tim Hortons has finally opened its first Singapore outlet at VivoCity. Located on the first floor, you can’t miss it.
Having heard of it on social media, I was happy that I was invited to have a first taste of their famous double-doubles, ice capps and Timbits.
Price-point wise, I feel Tim Hortons is a little bit more affordable than its current coffeehouse competitors and the black coffee is a lot more drinkable as well so that’s a plus point for me and I would totally go back.
Anyway, without further ado, here’s what you can expect from the menu:

First up the coffee. I had tried all 4 of their blends:
☕️: Original Blend
Medium roast, light-to-medium body, and well-balanced between citrusy fruits and nuts and chcolate.
☕️: Single Origin
A medium roast, medium body; quite naturally sweet, but with a bright acidity. Get this if you like lighter acidic coffees.
☕️: Dark Roast
A long roast, rich body, with strong flavours. Earthier, with more intense notes of chocolate, cedar, caramel. This one’s a lot more bitter than the first two
☕️: Espresso Blend
The longest and slowest roast of the 4, with a rich, intense bitter flavour. Intense, yet smooth, this was my favourite.

Next up, I tried their speciality coffees. In all honesty, as nice as they were, I found them all way too sweet. Definitely ask for reduced sugar. Also I would do without whipped cream - it is the sort from a can, rather than made with fresh cream.
Iced Capps (from $6.50)
☕️: Salted Caramel
Sadly I could barely taste the coffee, with all the sugar and caramel, but if you have a sweet tooth, definitely go for this!
☕️: Belgian Chocolate
The non-coffee version, I really like the flavour of this. Its chocolate, what’s not to love?
Lattes (from $7 I think, I forgot 😅)
☕️: Maple Cinnamon
I absolutely dig this; its sweet, with a mild kick of spice and when served warm, it hits the spot.
☕️: Iced Roasted Hazelnut
This one felt like a coffee Nutella. A little too sweet, but its good.

Now on to food! After all the coffee I was feeling quite buzzed from the caffeine and sugar so it was nice to have something savoury to eat too.
Melts
🥪: Triple Cheese & Caramelised Onion ($8.90)
You HAVE to get this. It was served piping hot, and I could do a cheese pull and the flavours were perfect. Cheesy, and with the sweetness from the onions, all wrapped in toasty bread, it’s just that good.
🥪: Pesto Chicken & Mozzarella ($9.90)
With the chicken, this was a bit more substantial. And the flavours all went together; the pesto sauce, chicken and cheese.
Sweets:
🍩: Donuts ($2.90-$4.50 for 1 OR $20 for the 6 pack)
I was served the 6-pack assorted donuts, with one of each flavour: maple glaze, classic glaze, Belgian dark chocolate, strawberry Belgian white chocolate, Boston cream and yuzu cream.
I quite like the maple glaze; just something really simple. The Belgian dark chocolate was the runner up; I really like chocolate to be honest!
🍩: Timbits ($1-$1.50 for 1 OR $10 for the 10 pack)
These iconic fried dough balls come in 4 flavours: classic glaze, cinnamon sugar, yuzu and birthday (glaze + sprinkles). Honestly the OG glaze was the best out of the 4. And these are addictive!
