Alright, I know we all have SOME form of childhood trauma. Mine specifically comes from my mother and these podcast do a phenomenal job of talking through what someone with this type of trauma feels or how to start healing from it.
Brooke Bownes specifically has a wonderful way of talking about what she calls “The Mother Wound” as well as sharing her own experience with a narcissistic mother.
I hope these podcasts help you if you’re going through your own healing journey and I hope to be brave and share my full story one day. I know there are probably not a lot of people reading this, but I think it might be helpful for me to share my story in case someone is feeling alone in theirs right now. I know I have felt so alone in the past and thought that I was defective or missing something that everyone else had which is why I was treated the way I was growing up. You are NOT alone. And your trauma does NOT have to continue keeping you in a state of flight or fight anymore. And you are enough, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you.
