Hi Zesties 🍋

I recently passed my TP.. and to do it all in 4 months is something that rly hits close to home! Feel like I also put in quite a bit of time & money + effort to ace my circuit :")

Here's everything that I did to complete + attend revision practicals that helped me greatly in passing my TP!

1️⃣ BTT/FTT - Theory

Keep practicing & spam BTT/FTT questions on the Traffic Police website! Previously, CDC didn't require learners to pass the Internal Evaluation (IE) - which serves like a "mock test" but they made it a requirement for learners to pass, before being able to book for theory now. Feel like the TP website is the most accurate/updated to what is tested in the actual test

Try to pass in one go! I believe it's doable

2️⃣ Simulator + Other Miscellaneous

Try to clear simulator right after your 5th lesson! You can book b2b2b if you're in a hurry (p.s. leave a slot empty because CDC doesn't allow direct b2b).

What I did - Booked a simulator session everytime I went for a lesson so I could clear it alongside with my actual practical. Booked it after my practical slot since I heard some people suffer from motion sickness!

3️⃣ Practical

I took 3A & the current limit is 5! Previously at 8, I used to max out the no. of bookings for the month and try to make sure that I have classes weekly just to build that momentum up and get used to driving~~

I signed up under the OneTeam programme and honestly.. no regrets! I genuinely love the instructors from my team and I honestly cannot ask for better instructors:")

Go for your practicals diligently and I believe that everything will be fine! What worked for me personally is really building up that momentum of driving weekly & getting myself familarised with the circuit~

Take down notes if you have to, find out what works for you and what doesn't (ie parking - dry steer / no dry steer?) I also took pics along the way.. like Pic 3 was my first time doing VP using door handle method

Before moving onto revision stage, I always took down notes after each practical which helped me greatly when I needed to refer to refresh my memory a little, and it truly works wonders~~

4️⃣ Revision Lessons

I feel like this is something learners personally neglect. Usually we'll finish everything in the blue booklet ~14-18th lesson but I cannot emphasise further on revisions!

Feel like going for revision practicals helped me get into the TP mode + do ALL of the circuit stations + test route really forced me to be ready for TP & I honestly can't thank my instructor more.

Doing each station may feel like nothing much, but when I first started revision and had to do ALL of the stations in the circuit, I honestly felt vv overwhelmed and felt like I had extra things I started to overthink about.. :/ (I cleared them with my instructor)

Always bring up questions that you may have to double confirm/clarify with your instructor before your TP date! I took ~8 practical slots for revision and they really helped a lot :")

5️⃣ Getting into test mode

I feel like the anxiety before a test is unavoidable but it can be mitigated! For me personally... I'll usually clear my mind and usually all will end up going well which seemed to work for me, so I also practiced this during TP! Find what works for you, and I believe that you'll be fine!

Anyways.. if you are entering your ✨ Driving Era ✨, enjoy the process and don't worry too much about the uncertainties that has not happened!

I passed with 12pts! 🌈
