i’ve been a long term snickers dates fan so when date bark went viral i KNEW i had to try it! i figured i would make a nut-free version so my boyfriend could also enjoy it so this recipe is nut allergy friendly!! #lemon8partner #healthyrecipeideas
ingredients:
-dates
-sun butter
-dark chocolate chips, 1 tsp coconut oil
-flaky sea salt
directions:
-remove the pit from your dates
-flatten your dates onto your pan
-add a layer of sun butter on top of the dates, i add a pretty thick layer
-melt dark chocolate chips with 1 tsp coconut oil (helps it drizzle more). i microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between rounds until it is smooth.
-pour chocolate mixture over top
-sprinkle flaky sea salt over top. this really brings out the richness of the flavors!
-freeze for at least 2 hours before chopping into pieces! i store this in the freezer & let it sit for 5-10 minutes before enjoying since it gets pretty hard!
