Unaesthetic Kids Closet

It can be so hard seeing those beautifully coordinated nurseries and themed toddler bedrooms. There’s so much pressure to have an aesthetic space for our babies and toddlers.

Before having my first baby, I truly wanted all matching nursery furniture and had a theme idea for her nursery. But after seeing the prices of furniture and decor, and the amount of work involved in creating that aesthetic, I quickly realized that wasn’t going to be possible for us.

I had to come to terms with the fact that everything being coordinated and cute was far less important than it being functional and affordable.

Fast forward to now, I’m mom of two with one more little baby arriving any day and I love how easy and organized their bedrooms are for them.

Some of their furniture does match, while others are simple plastic shelves. Obviously the kids don’t seem to mind and I’ve become far less concerned about having things look a certain way.
