Our Favorite Baby Girl Names

I know a lot of people have a list of baby names far before they ever decide to have kids. I was not one of those people, so I spent a lot of time researching and brainstorming names when I found out I was pregnant with our first.

Here’s a few names that made my final list, but we never used. Maybe they’ll be inspiration for your baby’s name!

Mirabella: (Latin origin, meaning wondrous beauty) For me this name was one that represented our beautiful miracle, since I had gone through so much adversity and disappointment with pregnancies.

Evelynn: (meaning desired one, wished for child)

My greatest desire was always to be a mama, even before struggling to have a healthy pregnancy. That yearning only grew with each passing year, so Evelynn seemed very fitting.

Iliana: (Greek origin, meaning ray of light)

The sound of this name and it’s meaning are so full of joy. I think all babies bring light into our life in one way or another!

Emersyn: (meaning brave or powerful)

I think names that evoke a character trait are powerful in of themselves. What better way to remember who you are than having a name to remind you!

Ultimately we didn’t use any of these, but they still carry significance and sentimentality to me.
