Hidden resto-bar: Entrance bar

Located out of plain sight, this secret bar is housed on the second level of a shophouse in Tanjong Pagar. The dark lighting of the bar coupled with the modern architecture gave it a mysterious but chill vibe. Entrance specialises in Japanese-european inspired cuisine and molecular-inspired cocktails. 🔬

Drinks: 🥂

Bazooka Joe $25 — Monkey shoulder cocktail with fresh watermelon and cream. The foam on the drink was printed with a cute cartoon with the bar’s branding. A drink great for an ig-worthy shot

The Mob $25 — Decorated with a lighted roll of wood, the drink is a mix of Altos tequila and Giffard Pimento liquor with smoked sea salt

Extra! Extra! Read all about it $26 — The cocktail was served in barrel-inspired glass wrapped with paper resembling newspapers. A gin and tonic with elderflower liqueur, topped with dried orange and lime.

Salty hound dog $24 — Classy looking cocktail made from Hendricks Neptunia gin, Vervain liquor and grapefruit juice.

What we ate:

Entrance tacos: Steak taco, chicken Katsu taco, salmon taco, guac taco $8/pc — The plating of the tacos was gorgeous. We had a try of all the different tacos. Each was so tasty and the flavours blended really well together, however the portions were quite small.

Spinach ramen $26 — Made with red miso broth, this vegetarian dish was topped with shiitake and truffle flakes. The fragrance of the truffle along with the pasta was delicious.

Duck confit ramen $34 — Fusion pasta dish with a twist by using japanese ramen noodles to substitute the pasta. It came with pickled beetroots and a whole duck leg which was so tender.

Pumpkin frutti di mare $36 — Loved the plating of this dish! Served in a whole pumpkin, it was filled to the brim with seafood. The lobster broth was topped with plump scallops, mussels and white clams.

Overall, we had a really unique dining experience at Entrance. With the visually enticing cocktails and delicious food, this is definitely worth a visit for all bar-hoppers out there! 🍾
