was the 1HR QUEUE at the everything fair WORTH IT🤔

if you haven't been living under a rock, you would've heard about the everything fair that's organised by big farm 🎨 as someone who's into lifestyle, #Art crafts and illustration works, i just know that i had to make my trip down here and brought a friend along with me too~

as the everything fair will still be around for the next weekend, i'd like to share with y'all my experience at the event and whether you should visit it or not 🤔

↳ WHAT I LIKE

✅ with over 150 local and international brands featured in this creative market, you can expect a wide variety of items that can cater everyone's interest and preferences🤩 though there might be booths selling similar products, i love that each one is unique to its style and branding! a fascinating sight i'd say + you might recongise some of these booths as i've seen them at past events too 🙌🏻

✅ some booths offer interesting activities such as caricature & live poetry

if you've missed out these activties from other events such as artbox , this is your chance to visit them again 👀 not sure if it's because i went on sunday but the queue for both caricature and live poetry were quite manageable and smooth. hence, my friend and i didn't have to wait for long and were able to visit other booths while we waited for our final products 🎁

✅ despite the large crowd, both my friend and i felt that it was managed quite decently (at least for sunday) 👍🏻 for the 1st floor, we were able to roam the space freely without feeling enclosed or hot thanks to the air-conditioner!

❗️ however, as there are a lot more booths located on the 2nd & 3rd floor and they are relatively close to one another, it can get pretty crowded and squeezy🥲 one way my friend and i tried to overcome this is to visit other booths that weren't as packed, so we could still roam around and check out other booths before returning to the ones that were initially congested.

↳ WHAT I DISLIKE

❌ as you might have expected, BE PREPARED for long queues! my advice would be to have your lunch first and come down early before it's opening hours as there's a chance of them closing the queue early due to the large crowd 🫡

❗️ if anyone needs a rough estimation, my friend and i reached Selegie Arts Centre and started queueing around 12.50pm and were able to enter the 1st floor at 1pm! as for the 2nd and 3rd floor, we queued for about an hour and entered around 2.50pm~

❌ the flow of the queues can be quite confusing as you'll have to queue twice to enter the 1st & 2nd/ 3rd floor🧐 nevertheless, there are signages around the centre as well as staff that's around to guide and facilitate the queue so not to worry!

↳ SHOULD YOU VISIT THE EVERYTHING FAIR?

overall, i'd say it was a pleasant experience as i really enjoyed the diverse selection of booths at the event☺️ while i believe the event space could be better utilised to ensure that there's sufficient space for event-goers like ourselves to roam around smoothly, i still enjoyed my visit regardless and definitely don't regret coming early as my friend and i might face a larger queue than expected.

however, if you're not into these artsy lifestyle type of products or don't have any specific brands you want to visit for, i'd suggest saving that time as the queues can get as long as 2 - 3 hours (judging from saturday's situation) 🫡
