Here are 3 asian inspired dessert spots in nyc you would not want to miss:
The Original Chinatown Ice Cream Factory
Location: Chinatown
Price: $5 / scoop
Review: This is the perfect spot to grab dessert if you’re craving Asian flavors. My personal favs are black sesame and lychee rose. But they have all types of different Asian flavors, and I really like them bc they’re not super sweet.
Location: Koreatown
Price: $5 / scoop
Review: Newly opened in ktown spot! They have such fun Asian flavors that I’ve never seen elsewhere! They are mainly Korean inspired so they have fun flavors like honey makgeolli, mochi injeolmi and chocopie. My favorite flavors are mango, and Vietnamese coffee!
Location: Chinatown
Price: $12 for maiko special, $13 for shogun special (swirl on cone with golden leaf)
Review: Matcha Maiko is a dessert café serving everything matcha. They have the best matcha soft serve I’ve ever had. You can just taste the quality of the matcha. They also have seasonal special flavors, some that I’ve seen include calpico, peach oolong and ube! The only drawback here is that it is quite expensive at $12 for the maiko special.
