my first n worst club raid experience…

So, here’s what happened… My friends n I went to Zonix on July 6th for DJ Vgene, and at 2 AM, we got caught in a sudden police raid! The police took over the microphone and ordered girls to stand on one side and guys on the other. They then started collecting our passports, and we were left waiting for ages.

After about 30 minutes, my friends and I urgently needed to use the restroom. We queued up, and another 30 minutes later, the girls were finally allowed to go. The police officer was incredibly rude, banging on the doors and rushing us. Eventually, we were all herded onto a police lorry, where the girls were packed together.

We ended up at Larkin Station, where we had to wait again. The officers spoke in Malay, which we didn’t understand, and we were taken in groups to use the restroom for a urine test. After two hours, it was finally my turn. It was a terrible experience; I had no urine, and the officer kept checking on us while we were in the restroom. Once done, we were given numbers.

While waiting, we learned from other girls that it was the Islamic New Year, and no entertainment venues were supposed to be operating. Maybe we should have done some research before going…

Mind you, the officers weren’t good at all… they kept yelling at us like we were students being reprimanded by the discipline master LOL. but then again there are police officers so they shouldn’t be friendly as well…

After a long wait, our numbers were called, and we had to dispose of our urine samples and collect our passports. Finally, we were free!

👎🏻 All in all, our first clubbing experience in JB will definitely be our last! Definitely do not want to spend 4 hours in a police station again, especially in a foreign country with a language barrier and no one to help us.
