hello 🍋s,

i have made baked sushi/sushi bake over the weekend. I have seen people selling them at pasar malam and honestly it's quite pricey. I have googled for different recipes and my friends who have done this before also shared their recipe with me. It's quite easy but process is abit .... tedious hehe.

Ingredients needed: 😋

#Really no specific measurements here.

- A can of frozen crab meat, you may use fresh ones if you are feeling expensive.

- 1 cup Japanese sushi rice

- Furikake

- Mentaiko Mayo sauce (mine left a little so i used mayo sauce too)

- 50ml White vinegar

- half teaspoon of salt

- 2 teaspoon sugar

- korean seaweed

- Aluminium trays or Oven baking pot dish to bake your sushi rice in.

I used 32x27x7cm cos my oven is small.

You may try the bigger sized ones.

Firstly, cook your rice.

Follow the packaging on how to cook your rice

mine is 1:1.2 Rice:water . then leave it to cook.

While your rice is cooking, prepare your ingredients.

Crabmeat mix with the sauce of your choice. So far i have tried mayonnaise and mentaiko mayo.

For us, my hubby and i love mentaiko alot. As my current batch of mentaiko mayo was finishing, i added more mayo. I used about half can of crab meat for 2 small trays.

Once your rice is done, bring it out to cool for a while. Then, mix in your White vinegar, sugar and salt mix.(cheat code: i place all in the microwave to let the sugar and salt melt. 20seconds should be enough)

You may want to add little by little to adjust accordingly to your own taste. :)

Rmb to preheat ur oven!!

Then in your alumnium tray/oven baking dish,

put in your rice, top with furikake(optional), then add your crab meat mix.(I prefer more meat than rice LOL)

Topped with more Furikake!

Bake with 230c, 12-15minutes. or till the top becomes brown. Idk why but my husband preferred a little charred.

enjoy with the seaweed!!!!

Try the recipe and let me know what you think. If there's any improvement that needs to be make please let me know.

Till next time!💕

*you may use canned tuna. i tried and it's not bad.

*you may try half tuna, half crabmeat.

whatever toppings you like.
