RATING: 4/5

Price Range: $30-50/ person [$$] Definitely thought this place would be more expensive but it wasn’t too bad!

Maison Pickle is a popular staple in NYC dining. The sister restaurant to the famous Jason’s Pickles, Maison Pickle holds its own for their signature French Dip sandwiches, fluffy pull-apart breads, and of course, their famous 24-LAYER cakes. I came here for a celebration and was only planning to get the cake slice. But after seeing the rest of the menu, I knew there were other things I had to try. The French Dips are a legend all on their own. Part cheap eat, part culinary invention, they’ve been part of the backbone of the urban pub food scene forever. The Deluxe French Dip we got was absolutely LOADED with sirloin beef, fried onions, horseradish aioli, caramelized onions, and gruyere fondue. Now doesn’t that sound good? The vibes inside are dark and speakeasy-like, and overall we had a good experience at Maison Pickle.

DELUXE FRENCH DIP [$26] – Sirloin of Beef, Fried Onions, Horseradish Aioli, Caramelized Onions, Gruyere Fondue

HONEY AND BUTTER BREAD [$14] – super fluffy and piping hot bread topped with whipped butter and drizzled hot honey

CRISPY PICKLE ARTICHOKE [$15] – Spicy aioli, pickled mustard seed

24-LAYER CONFETTI CAKE SLICE [$22] – literally the cake of my DREAMS! It came to the table a bit cold so it was a bit dense, but honestly I love dense cakes :)
